A finely observed surrealist drawing imbued with cosmic, mystical energy. This work was found in a sketchbook containing numerous drawings by an unknown artist, all dating to the 1970s. Executed in an intimate sketchbook hand, the composition weaves symbolist icons and dreamlike forms into a compact field. A small snake in the lower left corner introduces a note of tension and transformation, reinforcing the work’s esoteric and inward-looking psychology.
