Hand-carved wooden head with an elongated form, carved facial features, and a visibly aged surface.
The reverse retains an old handwritten collection label that appears to include the words “Chinimp” and “Fig.” Chinimp is the name of a Shuar community in the Ecuadorian Amazon, suggesting a possible connection to Shuar material culture.
The piece shows age-related wear, including fading, abrasions, surface variation, and small losses. A small hole at the top of the head may relate to its original function or construction.
